Beauty of Holiness Book Preview-
The term beauty is often used to describe everything from people and places to thoughts and ideas. Unfortunately, much of what we attribute to beauty is only external. However, there is a beauty that abides internally. Few venture into a journey of discovery to bring out that beauty. The purpose of this book is to allow what’s on the inside of you to become beautiful and be reflected on the outside. I hope to inspire you to boldly embark upon the process of discovering your beauty through an internal transformation. In this book we’ll have a heart-to-heart about real issues that affect our images of beauty and learn how to discover a healthy self-image.
Beauty of Holiness Preview-Chapter Tows & Tickets
Too many of us just get moving in life and never take time to pause. We fear what people may say or think. Who cares!!!! You better pause before you snap. It may be a day, weekend, or month. Do what you need to do to grasp control before you get out of control. Once you get a handle you can feel when you are veering to the left or the right. Make sure you take time to balance. You can’t drive a car continually without having the wheels balanced. The car won’t drive right and will be a danger to you and everyone around. We can’t keep going without getting balance checks and tune ups. We can hurt ourselves and those around us.
Beauty of Holiness Preview- Chapter You’re Waiting on Boaz but are you Ruth?
There’s some things worth waiting for, for example fruit to ripen, seasons to change, graduation, birth of a child. When you wait you have an excitement an expectation that grows by the day. When it finally comes you value and appreciate the event and experiene even the more. What do you think is worth waiting for? Think of what happens when these things come before their time. Fruit in the wrong season can be terrible. A baby born prematurely can have a lot of medical issues which can carry on into adulthood. To graduate before receiving all the necessary education can set you up for failure. Have we ever considered how things would work out if we didn’t wait?
Beauty of Holiness Chapter Preview-Do you know Me?
This chapter focuses on one internally. This chapter ask question to allow someone to look inside themselves and be honest with who they are. It is an exploration to the heart of a person.
We live our lives interacting with people all the time. Some are perfect strangers while some can be family. With all our interactions do we really know the people who come in and out of lives every day? I know I’ve looked at some relationships and I have come to the conclusion that the person really didn’t know me. The way they spoke, responded or reacted was a clear indication they did not know me or my character. This thought process led me to write the following poem.
Do you know ME?
Do you know my value?
Do you know my worth?
What is means to step to my turf?
Do you know my wants?
Do you know my dreams what it takes to make my eye’s beam?
Questions many times open the door to possibilities, directions, and unlock dreams. I originally posed this poem towards people but it dawned on me, do I know the answer to all these questions? I am still changing some answers and looking to fill in the blanks for others. Although we may not be able to answer all these questions there’s someone who knows the answer to these questions and many more which we could ask and that’s God. What’s so beautiful is that He wants to answer these questions for us, he doesn’t want us to be unclear or in the dark.
